Fields Of Battle!

One of the most important aspects of the game to me, has always been being able to play on an immersive battlefield.
When so many players put hours into making their armies look beautiful, with carefully crafted paint jobs and bases, it always feels a shame to then be playing on an empty and lifeless* tabletop.

Humble Beginnings
When I first established the Melton Middle Earth Community, I only had two different terrain set ups, and only a single double sided game mat (grass one side, sand the other).
I had a very simple Rohan set up, and a small amount of desert terrain for a Harad setting.
But once I set up my first event, Let's Hunt Some Pork, I was able to generate funds to acquire more tables. 6 set ups, then 8, and so on.

A Whole New World!
Now that we're approaching two years of games club, and our third year of events, we have amassed a terrain collection that spans many corners of Middle Earth!
With our latest event generating more funds to reinvest back into the club collection, we now have a whopping 16 tables worth of terrain!

We now have the following table set ups:
• Rohan Outpost
• Haradwaith Desert
• The Shire
• Ruins of Ithilien
• The Great Eye, Barbour
• Mordor
• Dunland Village
• Fiefdoms Hamlet
• Ruins on the Green Road
• The Misty Mountains
• Fornost
• Haradrim Settlement
• Fangorn Forest
• Elven Glades
• Minas Tirith
• The Barrow Downs
Conquering Middle Earth
So what's next? Well, as I'm sure many of you are already aware, I'm still chipping away at Helms Deep, which will be our most impressive gaming table yet!
Beyond that, I'd really like to reach 20 seperate gaming tables, so that we can comfortably host 40 players (or 80 for doubles!) at our events, without needing to borrow terrain from friends (if you're one such person who has lent us terrain in the past, you bow to noone!).

What new battlefields would you like to see brought to life? Let us know!
