Last night, games club saw seven of us thrown down in a chaotic game of one on one combats!
Each of us chose a single model, of a point value of 100 points to be our gladiatorial champion.
Seven set foot on the table, but only one was to survive...
'The first rule of fight club...'
The rules were, at a glance, fairly simple*.
Choose one model, of a value of 100 points or less. If you chose a model with a value of less than 100 points, you could purchase Might, Will or Fate to bolster your heroic stats. This opens up a whole swathe of opportunities to create some really nasty combos...

One Dog-man and his Dog...
Alliances were forged immediately, challenges were thrown down! Friendships were formed in battle, and we only occasionally turned on our newly formed friends...
My chosen champion was a Werewolf of Angmar, so naturally when I saw that Mike Fisher was bringing his Wild Warg Chieftain, I knew it was my chance to extend a hand (Paw? Claw?) to offer up a truce between furry fellows.
To both our credit, we stalked the rest of the heroes for several turns, and never came to blows with each other!

Triumphs and Treacheries!
After lots of sneaking about, several cowardly shots from Tauriel and a cracking thrown stone by a very respectable Hobbit (wounding an Eagle of all things!), blades (and claws) clashed!
Syl's Eagle was the first to perish, followed closely by Kierans Shadow of Rhudaur being slain at my Werewolfs hands (CLAWS)!
Sadly, a tenuous alliance was then formed to rid Middle Earth of the evidently dangerous canine duo. Bilbo, Hera and Tauriel all joined ranks, slaying the werewolf, closely followed by the Wild Warg Chief. Mike and I were out!

Queens of the Pit!
Bilbo was the next to bite the dust. The pesky Hobbits antics with his thrown stones and magical Ring became an obvious threat that had to be dealt with pronto!
This meant the game boiled down to two ladies duking it out. Paul and Ash. Sorry, I meant Hera and Tauriel!
A couple of snap shots were sent at Hera by Ash's elven heroine, but Ash quickly realised it he had a decent chance if he stood his ground and fought hand to hand. Hera was stripped of all her might and several wounds, but ultimately...

Salve Regina!
A new Queen of the Pit was crowned! Paul lead Hera to victory! Admittedly, Hera was likely lowest on my list of predicted champions of the evening. But perhaps my underestimation of her is how she lasted so long on the table!
Paul piloted her well, playing cautiously before striking at weakened heroes late in in the game.
A well deserved win for our new King of the Pit!
King of the pit will return...
